Great Hornbill Gate
Donyi Polo Airport, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
Located at the entry of Donyi Polo Airport, near the state capital of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, this landmark structure was designed in the shape of the state bird, the Great Hornbill. Constructed entirely of locally sourced bamboo and cane, this project was declared by the media as “the biggest public structure in India made of naturally available materials
Banyan Pavilion
Dimapur, Nagaland
A living structure built to encircle a beautiful young banyan tree, located near the world heritage site of Hampi. As these trees are known to grow for a thousand years, and can cover several acres as they do, the bamboo pavilion was designed accommodate and evolve with the tree as it grows.
Riverside Restaurant
Dimapur, Nagaland
A nature-inspired restaurant located at a beautiful riverside near Dimapur, Nagaland. By using contemporary techniques combined with vernacular roofing methods practiced by traditional communities in the region, this structure was designed to highlight the picturesque natural beauty of the site.
Meditation Gazebo
Denkanikottai, Tamil Nadu
An ornate structure commissioned by a nature-loving family on a beautiful farmland in Tamil Nadu, just two hours outside of Bengaluru. Built using multiple arches and ring beams, the unique geometry of the gazebo stands as a testament to the beauty and versatility of bamboo, and what it can be used to create.
